Hi, my name is Steven Hipkiss a SPORTS therapist who developed a passion for exercise while fighting back from life threatening injuries and has now opened my very own personal training fitness studio. In June 2006 at the age of 25 I was pronounced dead at the scene of the road traffic accident on the A1(M) North Yorkshire to which then I was air lifted to Hospital in a coma so that surgeons could then begin their battle to save my legs.
I sustained multiple injuries to both legs including a severed main artery, to which i was told i may never walk again, but thanks to my determination and dedication i proved them wrong. During this time i then developed a passion for health and fitness, leading me to take professional qualifications, which resulted in me taking a Sports Therapy Honors degree, Personal Training award and other Fitness Qualifications with the aim to help people with health and fitness issues. As well as competing in 3 UKBFF Mens Physique competitions around the country , i’ve continued to practice what i preach.
Key Fitness Studio is designed to help people who may feel intimidated by traditional gyms, as we are not a gym in the traditional sense. It is a Studio that gives personal one to one interaction addressing the needs of the individual. Sessions are tailored to each person. I hope to encourage people who may feel intimidated by the usual fitness environment to take that step to improve their quality of life. Whether you’re looking to lose some unwanted pounds, improve your physical appearance, build muscle, improve your fitness or just generally increase your health & well being, I have the knowledge and motivation to support you 🙂
